So touching. I feel the same way about the milestones. I'm sure it will kill me when my little one gives up his blanket. As far as I'm concerned, it's going to college with him! I cried on and off the whole first day my eldest was in school. Watching her depart on the bus was almost more than I could take. That's what it's all about, though. I have to keep reminding myself that every time they take another step away, I'm doing my job. And, I cherish those moments at bedtime; the ones where they let down their guard and smile sweetly welcoming your love and affection. Thanks for sharing your story.
Beautifully captured, and made me tear up. My "baby" turns five on Monday. Five.

how nice ashley... the thing that got me teary though was you telling someone that mitch asked if you would be going to college with him. ohhh!
